Catching my Breath...before the Next Wave!
The time between projects and seasons seems to be getting shorter and less relaxing, but maybe that's becuase I have many bad habits and don't easily relax and make the best of my available downtime, those beats where I should be catching my breath and re-grouping.
In any case, after a very busy and productive summer with family in town and lots of activities and projects to take care of, I eventually finished the manuscript of the seventh and FINAL installment of my Beyond Cascadia series!!!
It is currently with my beta reader team. I hope to have the follow-up revisions and edits finished soon after they get their feedback to me---so Scent of Far Lotus should be available in late 2026.
While waiting for the beta readers, I'm keeping busy with my graphic novel project, and I plan on devoting a separate post to that project soon!
I also participated in this year's BasedCon event in Grand Rapids! It was wonderful seeing familiar faces, new faces, and the real people behind some of my favorite X accounts!
The organizers graciously tolerated my presence on three panels covering topics as diverse as writing advice, the global population bust and esoteric science. I'm including a link to the stream for anyone who wants to check it out for themselves!
